Catching up now after a very full Thursday of house exploration, a Friday of a little work at HP and driving home on Saturday and Sunday (no bad weather or roads - nice!).
Back to our Thursday - Mary took a little different approach since we knew we weren't going to be writing contracts this week. She had a bunch of houses to show us that were the kinds of thing we liked and are looking for but perhaps a bit more than we wanted to spend.
The thought is that they may just be open to more price negotiation if they are still on the market when we are ready to roll. And - if not - Mary and Amy and I have a really good feel for what we're looking for in a house and where some likely places are that they may be located.
In other words - if these houses aren't available - it's extremely likely that other homes in the same neighborhoods will be and will be similar in layout, style and price.

- 1716 Chinati Mountain Trail, Round Rock, TX: Nice two-story layout similar to Coronation Way house. Comparing the two - Wood floors instead of carpet, separated dining/kitchen with separate entrances, ceiling fan in living room instead of light, dead grass in backyard, bigger garage, 175 more sf
- 1175 Forest Bluff, Round Rock, TX: (Katy the dog's house): Similar to the Water Spaniel layout but we like this better. Entrance is in different place. Has a front patio. Kitchen layout is nice, back patio slab with covered gazebo thing, otherwise about 1550 sf like Water Spaniel.
- 2913 Pioneer Way, Round Rock, TX: (the "big furniture" house): A favorite because it is very unique in all sorts of different ways. Beware the big furniture present - there's more room than it appears. Lots of trees in backyard, big open kitchen with powered island, little formal dining would make nice lesson area, nice master bath with separated dual sinks, 4 sides brick
- 2205 Wisteria Way, Round Rock, TX: Two story red brick with lots of unique, too. Solar screens all around the place. Bathroom just inside door. Double decks in the back. Covered patio and then big wood deck. Big yard, Kitchen would need island. Laundry room with window. Supernice bathroom tile work - impressive place!
- 3008 John Wilson Lane, Round Rock, TX: Big house (2300+ sf that seems really nice on most fronts. Only strange surprises were tiny master bathroom and one of the bedrooms is larger than master bedroom. Nice deck in back and big yard. Paint, carpet and hardwood are all fresh and nicely done.

- 1213 Coronation Way - Pflugerville: This was a really nice two story layout with very little wasted space. Very lightfilled spaces. Small cupboard space and counter would require an island but it felt roomy.
- 220 Joshua Tree Circle - Pflugerville, TX: This wasn't on our MLS listings but we were driving around and Mary had seen this house before. It's a nice one-story layout with a cute porch, front bedroom that would work as a music room, kitchen with powered island, separate shower/tub. No bonus room.
- 623 Reggie Jackson Trail, Round Rock, TX: Unique layout, huge master suite nicely laid out, kitchen a little small on cupboard/counter, intesting pastel color schemes

- 2706 Summerwalk Place, Round Rock, TX: Long hallway for wasted space. Big backyard, little patio, small-ish kitchen, nice master suite layout and size.
- 3616 Julianias Way, Round Rock, TX: Not many pics so we must not have been impressed? Perhaps smoke/pets?
- 2511 Willow Way, Round Rock, TX: (the big kitty house): Small kitchen area, lots of info given (including floor plan), cat in the house, big living room but smaller bedrooms, glassed in porch in back
